Rhinoplasty — Services
What Is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is one of the most complex and sought-after procedures in plastic surgery. It allows you to change the shape, size, and proportions of the nose, remove a hump, refine the tip, correct the wings, or fix asymmetry. Beyond aesthetic goals, rhinoplasty can address functional issues such as breathing difficulties and deviated septum.
Dr. Khaustov has extensive experience performing both open and closed rhinoplasty. He uses modern modeling techniques that allow patients to preview their expected results before surgery. Each procedure is planned with consideration of facial proportions, ethnic features, and patient preferences to achieve a harmonious outcome.
At Figura Clinic in Odesa, rhinoplasty is performed using state-of-the-art equipment and anesthesia support. Dr. Khaustov pays special attention to preserving nasal function while achieving the desired aesthetic result.

How the Procedure Works
Consultation
Computer modeling of the expected result, discussion of your wishes, and determination of the optimal technique. Assessment of nasal breathing and internal structures.
Preparation
Blood tests and CT scan of sinuses if needed. Stop smoking and blood-thinning medications 2 weeks before surgery.
Surgery
General anesthesia, duration 1.5–3 hours. Open or closed technique is chosen based on the goals. Correction of the bony and cartilaginous nasal framework.
Recovery
Nasal splint for 7–10 days. Packing (if needed) removed after 1–2 days. Major swelling subsides within 2–3 weeks.
Recovery
Recovery from rhinoplasty is a gradual process. The cast is removed after 7–10 days. Swelling and bruising around the eyes diminish within 2 weeks. Breathing may be slightly difficult in the first few days due to mucosal swelling — this is normal. Return to work is possible after 2–3 weeks, physical activity after 4–6 weeks. The nose reaches its final shape over 6–12 months as deep swelling resolves, particularly at the tip.
