Facelift (face and neck lift) — Services
What Is facelift (face and neck lift)?
A facelift (rhytidectomy) is a comprehensive surgical procedure to correct age-related changes in the lower and middle third of the face and neck. The operation addresses deep wrinkles, sagging soft tissues, jowls, and double chin, restoring a youthful and refreshed appearance.
Dr. Khaustov employs modern SMAS-lifting techniques that work not only with the skin but also with the muscular-aponeurotic system of the face. This ensures deep correction and long-lasting results without an artificial "pulled" look. Each surgery is planned individually based on the patient's aging pattern and personal goals.
The operation is performed at Figura Clinic in Odesa, which provides all necessary conditions for safe surgery and comfortable recovery. Incisions are placed along natural lines near the ear and within the hairline, making them virtually undetectable.

How the Procedure Works
Consultation
Dr. Khaustov conducts a detailed analysis of your aging pattern, discusses your goals, and demonstrates potential results. The scope and technique of surgery are determined.
Preparation
Comprehensive examination including blood tests, ECG, and anesthesiologist consultation. Smoking and blood thinners must be stopped 2 weeks before surgery.
Surgery
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes 3–5 hours. SMAS layer tightening, tissue redistribution, and removal of excess skin are performed.
Recovery
Compression bandage for 5–7 days. Sutures removed after 10–14 days. Return to social life within 2–3 weeks.
Recovery
Recovery from a facelift takes 2 to 4 weeks. The first few days may involve swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness — this is a normal tissue response. A compression bandage is worn for the first week. Most swelling subsides within 2 weeks, bruising within 10–14 days. Physical activity is restricted for 4–6 weeks. The final result develops over 3–6 months as tissues fully settle.
